We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our upcycling system as a Supply Chain and Operations Director. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our supply chain and operations to ensure the efficient and seamless flow of products from design to delivery. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the fashion industry.
Key points in brief:
- Set up a proper warehouse and R&D space in Porto, based on Portuguese law regulations.
- Coordinate warehouse department: stock actualization, correct items information, set up sku and barcode system
- Control the progress of warehouse, R&D and production workflows in the ERP program
- Establish relationships with suit manufacturers in Portugal as well as with smaller workshops and ateliers.
- Manage synchronization between Portuguese and London offices: stocks, sample creation, logistics
- Hiring in Portugal: cooperate with universities, visit events, etc in order to find new specialists to join our team
- Coordinate preparation of all the required law and tax documents for the company set up in Portugal
- File company for grants
Detailed description:
- Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy and operational plans to meet business objectives and drive profitability.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as design, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and smooth coordination across all departments.
- Continuously monitor and optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize risks.
- Implement and enforce best practices, standard operating procedures, and quality control measures to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards.
- Lead the forecasting and demand planning activities to ensure accurate inventory levels and meet customer demands.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers, vendors, and technologies to enhance the supply chain and operations capabilities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies relevant to the fashion and apparel industry and recommend innovative strategies to stay competitive.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior-level supply chain management role, preferably in the fashion or apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, practices, and technologies, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute supply chain strategies that drive operational efficiency and cost reduction.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration across departments.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and motivate teams.
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills to identify and address supply chain issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools to track and optimize operations.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and circular economy principles in the fashion industry is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Based in Porto or willing to relocate.
