One of our founders had previously co-founded a highly successful Eastern European neobank with a multi-million customer base. We launched our first market with Leobank in Azerbaijan in 2021, where we have already established market-leading positions. Our next market was Vietnam, where we launched Liobank in early 2023 and gained solid traction. India is our next market, and we are looking to launch in the next six months. We are currently building a core team there.

Your Role:

As an accomplished Lead Payments In the banking sector, you will leverage your extensive experience to drive innovative product strategies and solutions for building the new digital bank in India.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of banking products, like QR-payments, p2p and p2m transfers, mobile and utilities payments, account funding, and savings accounts, considering customer needs and market dynamics
  • Develop, refine and implement product strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with evolving market trends and regulatory requirements
  • Develop relationships, negotiate commercials and ensure seamless integrations with third-party providers (payment systems, fintech etc)
  • Discuss, order and receive technical documentation (APIs, specifications, etc.) from the partner bank and third-party providers to hand over to the developers’ team
  • Create cash flow and accounting schemes for payment features, build reconciliation and settlement systems with the partner bank and third-party providers
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including technology, marketing and finance, to ensure seamless execution and successful product launches
  • Prepare management and regulatory reports to provide comprehensive insights into product performance
  • Employ data-driven insights to optimise product performance, make informed recommendations on product features, pricing and terms to enhance customer satisfaction and adjust product strategies in line with market and regulatory developments

Who You Are:

Your Experience:

  • Fluency in English and Hindi
  • 5-7+ years of progressive experience in Product/Project management within the Banking industry and Fintech, demonstrating a track record of successful product launches
  • Solid experience in launching projects on UPI payments as well as mobile, utility, and other payments 
  • Preferably, experience in a startup or fast-paced environment, showcasing adaptability and agility in product management
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international regulations in banking and financial services

Competitive compensation is negotiable depending on the candidate’s level.

You will report to our project director in India and work closely with our partner bank and Payments Business Lead at Fintech Farm. Our partner bank is based in Mumbai, and our central payments and development teams are based in Europe, and you will be a vital bridge between these worlds
